~ Delicious Chocolate Cake....tossed! ~

A few days ago, I had lunch with friends and the restaurant we went to sells huge slices of the most delicious chocolate cake. It's like the cake we know as Texas Sheet Cake ~ rich, moist, fudgy icing with pecans, hmmmmm.  I was weak, Lord forgive me!, and I brought a piece home. I ate a few bites of it and put it away.  After I went to bed I was feeling guilty and wondering "why" I did that. Why, when I have been trying to eat healthy? I got up, took the rest of the cake and tossed it in the sink and quickly ran water over it before I could snatch it back!  Cleaned it all up and then went back to bed, feeling much better about myself.  Have you ever thrown away perfectly good, absolutely delicious, fudgy chocolate cake?  Do you think I need professional help??  ;-)

I think willpower is a good thing when you are trying to eat healthy, BUT I also think it is important to have a treat now and then, without feeling guilty. Life's short...you should have chocolate cake on occasion!

LOL! If it's not there to eat we won't eat it right? I would have tossed it as well.

I hope you have a great week Pat.

Yes I have!!! I've bought packages of rich cookies, eaten a few and then thrown them on the compost pile! I confess, I am a weakling!
