~ Wednesday Gratitude ~

It's Wednesday and time for Wednesday Gratitude with Heidi at Heart & Home

Today, I'm especially grateful for my friends!  Dear friends from school, eons ago! :-), fellow employees when I was working, great neighbors as well as new friends I'm making in the blogging world.

A dear friend of mine will be here this afternoon for a short visit.  She and her husband moved to New Mexico 3-1/2 years ago. Unfortunately, he became ill shortly after their move and passed away within the year from cancer. She is now in the Lubbock area, near her sisters. Haven't convinced her to move back to this area yet but I'm trying!  ;-)  She will be attending a seminar in Dallas and I won't see her much but you know, a short visit is a treasure. We visit via phone and email all the time but there's just nothing like a warm hug and face-to-face conversation and laughter!

Friends come into our lives in many ways and each one brings their own unique personality. I fully believe that God places people in our lives for a reason, a season or a lifetime.  Each of you in blog land are very special to me and I so appreciate your sharing and your visits & comments!

xoxo

Your last paragraph rang so true for me. I think it took a lot of maturity on my part to learn that friendship is a gift and I also appreciate all of the friends I have made through blogging that I know will stay in my life for a long time to come.

I hope you have a wonderful visit with your friend, Pat. She's a lucky girl to have a friend like you.

Hi Pat,
It's lovely to read this! I just came from a long tea break with one of my friends. You are right, true friendship is a treasure, and I am blessed to have found some women who "get me" and support me. It means so much.
Thank you for your participation in Wednesday Gratitude, I appreciate the support, and hope to share this day with more of our blogging friends in the future.
XO

There is nothing quite like spending time with an old friend. I have learned over the past few years that you can find friends in the most unexpected ways.

I love that you are a chemoangel. I've considered doing something similar here in Houston. I've thought about the car ministry we have at our church too. Helping peeps get to their appts.

thanks for the inspiration!
