~ What Will You Be Doing for 10/10/10 ? ~

I am joining a friend in this process. I will be spending 10 minutes at least 4 times during the day/evening hours engaged in a forgiveness/gratitude meditation.

Forgive 10 people (or 10 situations) then  List 10 things I am grateful for.

How:
List  and
Read Out Loud for 10 minutes.
Just to make it specific... I will begin at 10 minutes after each hour (every 4 hrs) from the time I wake up until the time I retire.
If you want to join me, chime in! :-)

♥ Even if you only join in once during the day it would be awesome!  ♥
Brightest Blessings!

Remember:

Forgiveness isn't:

Letting the offender repeat the behaviors,

Forgetting (we will remember...it is what we do with the memory that will determine if it is healthy for us or not).

Forgiveness is:

Letting go and turning over the problem(s) to God.

Allowing ourselves to be free from the toxicity of resentment.
Lists of the things we feel resentful about (or situations, people etc) will be LET GO and we will replace these newly emptied spaces in our hearts with Lists of things we are Grateful for.

Share your thoughts, blog about it, comment here, let me know what you will be doing for 10/10/10.

Is it just like any other day?

Could be.  Perhaps this is an activity we can extend into each new day beyond 10/10/10 ~
Perhaps at 10 am and 10 pm for 10 minutes twice a day?
xoxo
Pat

I didn't realize the significance of the date and I love this idea. I am definitely going to devote 10 minutes, 4X each tomorrow. I like what you had to say about forgiveness...and forgetting. I'll remember this!

Jane

Hi Pat,
Would you believe that 10/10/10 happens to be my birthday! So I'll be trying to enjoy the day and being another year older!

I do love though, what you're saying about practicing gratitude, forgiveness, and meditation.
Recently more than ever these things have become really important to me on a very personal level. They are definately a very good thing for the mind, body and spirit.
Before bed is when I try to practice doing these things the most often,(helps me de-stress and to sleep better then too).
I have found some wonderful music that I like to listen/meditate to most nights on You Tube. A favorite artist is Medwyn Goodall, and favorite piece is called Coral Islands, but there are many more as well, if you'd like to check them out sometime.

Btw, I'm sooo grateful for you and all my other blogging friends x's 10!

Love and Hugs, Sherri:)

Great idea, Pat. Forgiveness is something we need to practice daily in our lives. I love the saying, "Resentment is like taking poison and hoping the other guy dies!" It's so true. To forgive and let go is so healing. Hope yesterday was especially meaningful for you. Sending you cyber hugs!

I guess I'm a little late for the project, but it certainly was a good one. Is it odd to say that I can't think of anyone I need to forgive? I don't have any anger towards anyone in my life (at least right now I don't). Am I lucky or is my head in the sand?

I am too late also.

I really do not have anyone to forgive but I will certainly remember this post.

I wish everyone could read this post!

What a wonderful idea. I love all of your thoughts on forgiveness, we don't forget, but what do we do with the memory, does it build or destroy, and in so many cases, we can't do it on our own, we have to have God's help. Lovely thoughts.

Hi Pat...

Just wanted to come by and say hello, sweet lady! Thanks for stopping by on Sunday and leaving such a sweet note! I always enjoy your visits, my friend! I hope that my note is finding you feeling better?

I really enjoyed reading your post, Pat! You know, I think forgiveness...or I should say "true" forgiveness is a difficult thing to do or achieve! I have come to realize that without God's help, we really don't have it in us to forgive! Of course, I'm not talking about those little offences...you know what I mean! It really is so important though...for our own healing and well being! Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us!

Have a wonderful week, sweet friend!!!

Love ya,

I wish I had spent my 10/10/10 in this positive healthy way. I was clearing more clutter and getting more organized. I guess that counts too...but I'm going to try this exercise because it's a great idea! Love this post and love you!
Congratulations! I see from a previous comment that you are a winner!! big hugs, Candace
