~ How Do You Do It? ~

                                                                          Pinterest

How do you manage to do all sorts of crafts, painting, cooking, baking, decorating, shopping and blogging?  Especially those with kids ~ wow, I can't even imagine! I seem to be having a time management problem big time! It's embarrassing to admit this 'cause it's just me here. I don't have to cook for someone else although I do share a lot with my kids. Perhaps it's the change in seasons?  I want & need to clean out closets and toss/donate. I have some fall decorating I want to do, crafts...even sewing...and I love to bake this time of year.  I want to browse blogs and see what each of you are up to and respond.  I could spend hours on the computer but that's not "a good thing" is it?  Well, it isn't if I want to accomplish other things.

It just blows my mind that others can post daily or often along with accomplishing a jillion other things. I realize I have to create my own schedule but at the moment, I'm stumped. This week I've had Dr. appts, scheduling future appts, a bit of a reaction to the flu shot that I had and a few other things. Nothing huge but I feel like I'm treading water and not getting anywhere.    I'd love for you to come over for coffee or a glass of wine and talk to me about this. :-)

Pat, I feel the same way on a daily basis. Hope you're feeling better! :)

I don't know how ladies can post every day and keep up with the comments! And some post more than once a day...crazy! I think about when I was raising my 8 and I think you just do what you have to do. I had to be really organized, lists..but it worked. I know I would not have had time to blog though while doing all of that! ;D

LOL!~ Well I get asked that often Pat. I am a stay at home Mom, so I spread my time wisely during the day. I make sure my priority is the boys and volunteering my time at school, and now at band for my older son. Once I feel my ducks are in a row, I do sometimes two crafts or projects in a day. Then when I create my posts. I do several at a time as well so all I have to do is hit publish. The hardest thing for me, is commenting on all the blogs I want to. I am not doing as well as I used to, because there is not enough time in the day. Pretty much once the kids are home, I don't blog until Jack is in bed and Alex is doing homework or these days still at band practice. So that's how I do it:)

I don't know how they do it, especially with a husband and/or kids! I feel just like you do, Pat, I have good intentions, but lack energy.....I spend way too much time on the computer, but I love it! Now with this Pinterest, I really need therapy. xo,

CLONES! They all have clones!
Like you, I'm an empty nester, so I can't blame not having time because of the kids... however, now I do blame the dog. I've gotten called at least twice this week by different clothing donation organizations, which tells me it's time to clean out the closets, but I keep holding out thinking, that SOMEDAY I will fit in them again. I want to post on my blog everyday, but I spend too much time reading everybody else's to seriously work on my own. I have so many half finished projects going on right now that my home has become a health hazard!
So I have concluded that everybody but me has a clone!

I know just how you feel. I am always running and don't seem to get anywhere. Would love to take you up on that glass of wine!

It's hard for me to keep up too! I've been letting blog posts go undone.....it takes me so long to compose a post....I'm slow!!

Pat, don't feel too bad. I am the same way. About the best I can get done is about three posts a week. I work three days a week and do my laundry and cleaning on another. That only leaves me a couple of days and I never get it all done. I'm in the same boat as you and I'd love to have that glass of wine and talk about this! I just call myself Scarlett and go on!

Oh I wish I could! I feel the same way you do...how do they do it?? I'm good with keeping up with the house stuff, laundry and even putting out the fall stuff. I'm one of those people that gets really nervous if the house is messy, so I do it for my mental health! But, I rarely ever do anything crafty, I don't sew and I have finally decided that I will put up a blog post when I have one and not freak out if I haven't done a tablescape! I have trouble finding time to read all the blogs I want to and keep up with all of my cyber friends. If I sit still too long...I fall asleep!

Blogging at night for me is a way to escape the stress of the work day. I don't do as much crafting as I used to though! xo Diana

I went most of the summer without much to post about. Lack of time and want to. Fall is better for me because I like lots of things that have to do with fall. I hope you get to feeling better soon. I think it happens to us all!

Pat, you are NOT alone. For me, when I get a lot done in one area...another area suffers. There are days when I feel so overwhelmed with all the things I "think" need to be done. I'm realizing it's just not possible to do it all. And you know...that's ok.
BTW your apple pie looks delicious!!! It's that time of year isn't it?

I spend way too much time reading and taking photos...I've been an empty nester for all of 6 weeks and I think I've lapsed into a permanent coma! No schedules for me anymore...woohoo!

Whew...if you figure out that little secret, would you let me know please? As you know, I am terrible at keeping up. You do a great job whether you know it or not. Be encouraged, my friend. **hugs** I hope you are having a beautiful weekend.

Pat - I have wondered this myself. I read through the comments, seems most of can't, and the ones that do are just much more organized then me!

I often wonder the same thing, Pat. I guess some people are just blessed with more energy than I am!
