~ Colors of Fall ~

I am sooooo ready for fall!  My house is getting ready too.  Here are just a few things I'm in the process of adding and changing a few others.  I have to have color ~ lots of it!  Makes me happy and easier to be with.  ;-)

We had strong thunderstorms Saturday evening.  We desperately need the rain, however, it rained inside the windows of my extra room!  Seems it's a structural problem and the office is sending over contractors.  Last night, it was "raining" in my bathroom.  Well, not really raining but water was leaking from the ceiling.  It appears as though that is where the a/c system is located so someone will be over today to repair that.  If you've been around awhile, you will probably remember the leak in my bedroom closet earlier this  year.  Perhaps I'm doomed to water problems???  :)   The temp after the rain?  An amazing 68' F!  Yesterday morning and this morning it was in the low 70's.  Really a relief from the triple digits and high humidity we've been having.  Come on, October!   I can't wait ~

Hope you have a wonder*filled week!   I need to get busy ~

I'm with you, I can't wait until Fall!! We finally had rain too and it was so nice I bought fall candles and lit them all. The smell of the candles with the sound of the rain was wonderful and cozy. :)

I am ready for Fall too! We haven't had much of a summer until recently but since Autumn is a favorite of mine...bring it on! - Love all of those pretty colors that you are bringing in.

Sounds like you have had a string of bad luck with 'water', hopefully it will all be cleared up soon. xo

I was not going to leave a post on anyone's site that mentions the word FALL LOL - I am in complete denial and you would be too if you lived in Montreal - fall is way to close to winter - and winter is WHITE and COLD. The only thing I like about winter lately is the White Christmas -
Having said all that I love those all those colors Pat,

Hi Pat, I am getting ready, too, but computer problems have me flummoxed (sp?). lol Taking some photos of summer things here before it is too late, as long as it is still August, I guess I am good. Sorry to hear about your water problems, they seem to follow me as well, :( xo

I loved the Saturday evening rain too! Had planned on giving Lucy a bath - so I went ahead and gave her one in the front yard - IN the pouring rain! Then she and I walked around the block with me wading in over ankle deep water along the curbs all the way! On our return up the sidewalk I noticed the wind had whipped down a pretty good sized clump of heavy tree limbs that were laying on the roof......it happened in the short time we had gone arounnd the block!!
68 degrees on August 18 in TEXAS??? Almost UNHEARD of!

Just beautiful colors! I have a piece of that exact fabric or else one that is very similar to it. I'm usually a summer girl, but with all of the extreme heat this year I'm ready for fall too.

Pat, The cool down is a welcome relief for everyone! It was 42 degrees here this morning, great for sleeping. And yes the trees are starting to turn up here in the north. Hope you get the leaks fixed. Love those pillows, perfect for fall. Laura

I totally missed Julia's 100th birthday. so glad to get to read some of people's posts. I am not ready for fall yet. But then I never am, although when the weather chills and I smell the leaves in the air I love it, but I would hold on to summer for another month if I could!
